(NMB) First place in the Northern “C” eight-man football Conference will be on the line Friday night in Chinook when the Belt Huskies visit Hoon field for a match-up with the Sugarbeeters. Both teams come into the game 7 and 0. Head Coach for Chinook Mike Jones says Belt is bringing a very experienced and athletic team to Chinook and will try to get those athletes one on one against his defense. “They get their athletes in space. Their two best athletes are probably their running back and quarterback. They’re going to try and put them on the edge and get us to commit and maybe throw over the top. You know, eight-man football where you get the edge, it’s one on one. So, our job is going to be to slow down their athletes and then control the pace of the game.”
The winner of this game will have the inside track at the number one playoff seed in the North. Kickoff is set for 7pm Friday night in Chinook.
