(Havre) – Starting July 19th the Great Northern Fair comes to Havre for a 5- day event that will end July 23rd. Frank English the manager for the Great Northern Fair talks about the grandstand events set for the week.
“We have our grandstand events. We’ve got on Wednesday; we have the Junior Rodeo. Thursday and Friday we have Great Northern Ram Rodeo, that’s an NRA put on by MSU Northern. Saturday, we have tractor pull and then Sunday is the Jaycees Demolition Derby. People aren’t doing the demolition derby as much anymore so, I’m hoping that grows the size of our demolition derby. That doesn’t go through the fair so much, as the Havre Jaycees are in charge of the demolition derby.” English
Frank also lists the many bands that will be playing through the event.
“As live music we’ve got VooDoo Cadillac, Cole Kleinart and Shakedown County. VooDoo Cadillac plays after the truck pull. Cole is going to be playing up on the midway and shakedown County will be right after the NRA rodeo Thursday and Friday.“-English
