(Havre) – Starting July 19th the Great Northern Fair comes to Havre for a 5 -day event that will end July 23rd, during the fair 4-H will be hosting events each day. Kati Purkett the Family Consumer Science extension agent for Montana State University and the dog superintendent for the 4-H program explains what she will be doing during the fair.
“I will be wearing a lot of different hats. I’ll be running around between the barn and the chuckwagon. Our Fair actually starts off on Tuesday with interview day for the 4-H members and then we are live at the Great Northern Fair that opens up on Wednesday, we’re holding the dog show this year on Wednesday the 19th at 4:00 p.m. like I said you’ll see me around the chuckwagon. I help set up all of the indoor exhibits which would be anything that has to do with sewing, cooking, baking, woodworking, all of the projects that the kids enter in the fair I set up in the chuckwagon.”
