USDA makes TAC

(Washington) – The United States Department of Agriculture announced on June 28th that it is establishing a Tribal Advisory Committee and is accepting nominations for memberships.

This committee will be tasked with providing advice and guidance to the Secretary of Agriculture on matters relating to tribal and Indian affairs. The USDA is encouraging nomination from federally recognized tribes, Alaska Native Corporations, tribal organizations that are arm and instrumentalities of tribes or democratically elected by their community, or national or regional organizations with expertise in tribal food and agriculture issues.

Nomination period will end August 14 with specific information and nomination
instructions available in the Federal Registry.
