Salvation Army Back to School

(Havre) – The Salvation Army Havre Service Center is reopening its back to school program that will provide low-income families and families in need with backpacks and supplies for this coming school year. Director Trina Crawford of the Salvation Army Havre Service Center explains what the program will do.

“The Salvation Army is opening up their back to school program which is a program that is designed to give people that are in the low-end income area or if there’s a family that’s in need gives them a chance to get a backpack and school supplies for their kindergartners through 12th grade children. We are taking applications now. What you need to apply for this application is you need to have a picture ID of the adult filling out the form we need to see birth certificates or some form of ID for every family member we need to see proof of residency we need to see proof of income or the need and then when we get ready for distribution its better if we know what the teacher’s name is because every school system has so much extra requirements but we like to give as much as we can if we know who the teacher is. So that is the information that is needed.”

To apply for the program call (406) 265-6411 or visit the Salvation Army Havre Service Center.
