(Montana) The Montana History Portal is hosting the 4th Annual Historical Picture Prompt contest.
Using any photo in the Portal collection as a story prompt participants will write a fictional short story of650 words or less and enter through the MHP’s Submission Form.
Winners will be chosen from grades 3-6, grades 7-12 and adult. The deadline to enter is February 23, 2024.
Writers must use a photo from the portal collection, found here and must upload their story using the MHP’s online submission form, found here.
