(Bozeman) The owner of a Bozeman construction company accused of not paying to the IRS employee-related taxes of more than 800 thousand dollars admitted to tax crimes, U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich said.
The defendant, Joseph Glen Dickey, 38, pleaded guilty to failure to truthfully account for and pay over withholding and FICA taxes, a felony, and failure to file employer’s quarterly return and pay tax, a misdemeanor. Dickey faces a maximum of five years in prison, a 250 thousand dollar fine and three years of supervised release.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Kathleen L. DeSoto presided. Sentencing was set for August 14th before U.S. District Judge Dana L. Christensen. Dickey was detained pending further proceedings.
