Montana Premium Processing receives $50,000

(Havre) As previously reported by New Media Broadcasters, Montana Premium Processing Cooperative in Havre has received $50,000 from the Montana Department of Agriculture.

MPPC is a member owned and USDA inspected meat processing facility, and is one of the 25 agricultural businesses throughout the state awarded funds because of the Growth Through Agriculture program.

The MPPC plans to use the money to build a new smokehouse that is both commercially equipped and USDA certified. MFU Chief of Staff Matt Rains says that this new addition will likely be finished in 2025.
