(MSUN) A new bench and concrete pad along MSU-Northern’s South Campus Trail offers community members a place to rest and enjoy the campus scenery. The bench was installed by Noah Siemens of Scouting America Troop 1438 in Havre as part of his Eagle Scout service project.
Siemens secured a grant from the Hill County Community Foundation to help fund the project, with additional support from Havre Trails, Patrick Construction and Pacific Steel and Recycling. He organized fellow scouts, friends and scouting leaders to complete the project, contributing more than 125 volunteer hours before its completion in October.
Siemens started scouting as a Cub Scout in first grade. He expects to finish all requirements to reach Eagle Scout rank in November.
