Havre Women’s Golf Association Donates $42,000 to Sletten Cancer Center

(Havre) – The Havre Women’s Golf Association recently donated $42,000 dollars to support cancer patients in the area via the Sletten Cancer Center at Northern Montana Healthcare. Representatives of NMHC and the Sletten Center met with the association to have the donation presented.
Dr. Thomas Reid, medical director at the center, said “The Sletten Cancer Center deeply appreciates and is honored by the very generous and kind gift from the HWGA in support of our patients. We are ever so grateful to live in a community that cares for its own.”
The donation was made possible thanks to the associations annual Golf for a Cure Tournament, along with contributions from the community, which include $5,000 dollars from the Northern Pulling Association and $500 dollars from the Blue Pony Volleyball team.
