Farmington, UT – The 2025 preseason All-Big Sky Conference football teams were announced earlier this month with Montana and Montana state receiving Multiple selections.
The Grizz had three players make preseason All-American, and they have all made preseason All-Big Sky along with long snapper teammate Grayson Pibal.
Headlining the list again is two-time All-Big Sky running back Eli Gilman. Gilman won 2023 Jerry Rice Award, the FCS freshman of the year award. Making his way into the UM records, Gilman has accumulated 2,137 rushing yards to reach 7th all time in Grizz history. Gilman has for 28 career rushing touchdowns for 5th all time and 30 total touchdowns to sit at 7th all time in UM football history.
Peyton Wing is a transfer from Portland State but is looking to make an impact for the Grizz. In his career as a linebacker for PSU, he made 113 tackles and had 9.5 tackles for loss. Wing lead PSU in tackles last season with 93 and averaged 8.5 tackles a game, fourth most in the league.
Micheal Wortham is also a transfer for the Grizz. Wortham, from Eastern Washington, is already a two-time All-Big Sky selection. At Eastern Washington Worthman, averaged 134.6 yards of total offense and set a program record with 1,093 kickoff return yards.
Grayson Pibal receives the Honor going into his senior year. in his time as Grizzly Pibal has appeared in 42 straight games and hasn’t had a bad snap in his last 31 games with 293 consecutive attempts.
Montana State had five players named to six different positions on the All-Big Sky preseason team.
On offense for the Bobcats Offensive lineman Titan Fleischmann, Running Back Aaron Jones and wide receiver/punt returner Taco Dowler. Fleischmann earned All-Big Sky second team honors last season, while Dowler was a Second Team All-American First Team All-Big Sky. Jones was the Big Sky freshman of the year in 2024.
selected from the MSU defense was Paull Brott at defensive tackle and Kenneth Eiden IV at defensive end. Brott was selected All-Big Sky second team last season and Eiden recorded seven sacks in MSU’s last seven games.
