Havre, MT – Lights football placed at number seven out of seven in the east division of the Frontier Conference preseason coaches’ poll, as announced on Monday.
The first ever 14 team and two division frontier conference coaches poll released Monday. Montana Tech(east) and Montana Western(west) sit in first of each division, while Northern and Simpson out of California sit at the bottom of the poll.
No coach is allowed to vote for their own program. Each first-place vote is worth seven points and a second-place vote is worth six points, and so on down to one voting point for a seventh-place vote.
Lights football finished the 2024 campaign 1-9 with the lone win against Rocky Mountain College. The poll sets up Montana State University-Northern football to enter the season looking to surprise the league, as they can only go up from here.
