Havre, MT – The Skylights Sunday afternoon victory was in jeopardy before Maddie Williamson stepped up in the second to push the Skylights past the beavers of Minot State.
Williamson finished with 11 points and led the game with nine rebounds while playing solid defense.
Head Coach of the Skylights praised Williamsons effort and how impactful it was Post game.
“I got to credit her on the boards. She is our best offensive rebounder, and she is about 5’6″. She crashes every time so it’s no surprise when she gets them it’s no surprise when she gets them and she is also extremely athletic so that helps you know because she can really jump.” Said Mouat about Williamson before crediting her two-way ability.
“What she did offensively for us was really good for us. when we get a immediate lift off the bench it goes so far for our team. I thought her defense was outstanding as well. She was guarding a very good shooter out there and she did a good job guarding her.”
Williamson will help lead the Skylights on the road for their second conference road game of the young season.
