Skylights Remain Unbeaten After Strong Start to 2026 Season

Butte, MT – Montana State University-Northern Skylights Volleyball continued its strong start to the 2026 season Friday, defeating Arizona Christian University and Indiana University East to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Against Arizona Christian University, the Skylights finished with 36 kills on 107 attacks, hitting .215 as a team. Macy Uffelman and Holly Newman led MSUN with seven kills apiece, while Josie Hasler added six.

Addison Falls Down provided a strong all-around performance with 15 assists, 14 digs, three blocks and two service aces. Emily Bird also recorded 15 assists, while Uffelman contributed 10 digs and Kambria Maloy added nine.

At the net, Caleigh Case turned in a standout defensive performance with nine blocks, while Kendall Scheffelmear added four.

The Skylights followed with another strong performance against Indiana East University, recording 49 kills and a .140 team hitting percentage. Case led MSUN with 10 kills, followed by Hasler with nine and Falls Down with eight.

Bird paced the Skylights with 27 assists, while Falls Down added 15. Maloy anchored the defense with 22 digs, while Bird recorded 15 digs and Hasler added 12.

MSUN also recorded six total blocks, with Scheffelmear and Case each contributing three. Falls Down added two service aces, while Adisyn Olson and Bird each recorded one.

The Skylights will look to build off their 3-0 start as they continue their early-season schedule.

Their next games come at the Lewis-Clark State College Tournament in Lewiston, Idaho, with their first match set against Walla Walla University next Friday August 28th at 12 p.m.
