Havre, MT – What was originally the second alumni match signifying the start of the 2025 Montana State University – Northern volleyball season will be played this afternoon.
After the cancellation of the first Alumni match the lone game to get the MSU-Northern volleyball team prepped for the season will start at 2p.m. on Saturday.
Head coach of skylights volleyball, Jerry Wagner, explains the cancellation of Fridays match and says that the alumni game provides great experience for his players.
“We planned to Alumni games because we have had such a great turnout, so the first one was going to be the alumni that graduated before the year 202, and that group was unable to enough players.” Wagner said. “The one here on Saturday will go off here at two o’clock and that will be the 2020 alumni forward and its invaluable for us, so we’re looking forward to it.”
Coach Wagner also stated that this game gives his team an opportunity to play against older and more savvy opponents making the game “invaluable”. The alumni game will kick off at 2p.m. on Saturday august 9, at MSU-Northern.
