HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The American Red Cross announced earlier this week they will be having blood donation opportunities May 1-15.
Though COVID-19 has stalled many facets of life, the Red Cross wants the public to know they are still accepting blood donations.
The Red Cross stated that on top of COVID-19, many communities are dealing with accidents, emergencies, cancer, and other complications that may require blood products.
On top of emergency situations, donated blood expires in just 42 days for red cells and just five days for platelets, so there is always a constant need.
All Red Cross donation centers are following strict guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 between donators and faculty.
For more information and how to donate visit RedCrossBlood.org or download the Red Cross Blood Donor App.
