HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana State University-Northern Collegiate Stockgrowers along with Montana Farmers Union will be hosting their third annual Beef N Brews event on Friday at the Northern Ag Research Center near Fort Assiniboine. President of the Collegiate Stockgrowers, Luke Rech says the conference starts at about 1 PM on Friday and ends Saturday afternoon.
“The whole conference is going to be out at the Research Center. And then that night, they’ll be done about 5 o’clock out there and then our social hour will start about 5:30. And then our dinner starts at 6. And then we’ll have, kind of some updates on the club. And then at 7 o’clock we have Chick Wilfong coming as entertainment.”
Rech says that they will feature beer from local breweries at the meal.
“It’s a barbeque roast beef that Becky at the Food Service is putting and she’ll have a bunch of sides. She’ll have potatoes, she’ll have beans. It’ll kind of be, just a, almost a buffet-style type of meal, but it’ll be great. Becky’s putting it on and she always does a good job.”
Tickets for the meal are $20 a piece and includes the comedy entertainment.
