
FORT BELKNAP AGENCY, Mont. (NMB) – Fort Belknap has announced that they will be keeping current COVID-19 safety measures in place as the state slowly reopens.
Fort Belknap’s shelter-in-place directive is still in place. The curfew, which is from 10 PM to 6 AM, remains in effect until further notice. Fines will be imposed for violators.
The tribal health department has created packets for people who travel to areas with positive and active COVID-19 cases who need further instruction on 14-day quarantine. It is mandatory for all individuals who travel from outside areas to the reservation to report to Tribal Health immediately for further instructions regarding the mandatory 14-day quarantine.
Those needing to quarantine are asked to call 353-2525 between 8 AM and 5 PM Monday through Friday. The after hours number is 654-4541.
Anyone entering Fort Belknap Indian Health Service facilities are to go through a Health Screening. Patients only are allowed into appointments. Services are still available and the Emergency Room is open, but people are asked to call ahead at 353-3100. The number for Hays is 673-3777.
Entry signs on the reservation have been put up discouraging non-residents and non-essential workers from entering.
