HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Despite the recent wet weather in Hill County, Disaster and Emergency Services Coordinator Dave Sheppard says there is very little chance we will see flooding in the area in the near future. The wet weather has also reduced the risk of wildfires for the area.
Sheppard says that Fresno Reservoir is 97 percent full, as they try to fill it prior to irrigation season. The outflow at Fresno has also been increased recently, with more water flowing out than what is coming into the reservoir.
Sheppard also said that Beaver Creek Reservoir and Bear Paw Lake are also quite full, but the chance of flooding in Beaver Creek Park is still low.
