(MT Governor’s Office) – Governor Greg Gianforte joined DPHHS Director Charlie Brereton in announcing expansion of behavioral health services for Montanans.
On the heels of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approving a waiver to provide services as part of the state’s Healing and Ending Addiction through Recovery and Treatment (HEART) program, three new services aimed at helping those struggling with addiction and mental health conditions find and keep stable housing, create incentive for meeting treatment goals, and provide services to incarcerated individuals in the 30 days before release.
Eligible individuals will have access to services such as care management, limited community based clinical consultation services in person as well as telehealth, and medication.
The three initiatives implemented with the waiver are Tenanacy Supports, Contingency Management, and Justice Involved Re-entry Services.
