In the District 9C this season several teams have shared time atop the standings. One of those teams hails from the west of Havre as the Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hi-Line Hawks have gotten off to a hot start. New Media Broadcasters sports was able to catch up with Head Coach for the team Joe Horel. In our conversation coach talked about how the team, which started off with seven straight victories used the impressive finish from last year as a spring board into this coming season. While looking at the schedule for the Hawks they did go 2-3 in a stretch. Horel talked about talked about how losing senior Kyle Harmon effected the team for a five game stretch where the team went 2-3, but did explain how he had to credit the rest of his guys for stepping up. The CJI Hawks were scheduled to take on the Sugarbeeters on Friday, but those games have been postponed. The next time the Hawks will be playing Saturday night as they travel west to take on Valier.
