
HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Commission convened for their weekly business meeting on Thursday morning.
The Commission announced the temporary hiring of Havre Attorney Jamie Vines to provide Special Prosecutorial Assistance from December 3rd through the 13th. This is because interim County Attorney Brian Lilletvedt will be unavailable during this time period. The County will pay Vines $60 an hour for her services.
In a unanimous vote, the Commission approved a change order from Walker River Construction for the project to improve the Beaver Creek Dam Spillway and Stilling Basin. The Commission said that due to unforeseen circumstances, the deadline for substantial completion of the project is being move back from December 26th, 2021 to May 31st, 2022. The project is mostly funded through grants.
The Commission also announced the hiring of Connie Robertson as Deputy Election Administrator, effective December 1st.
