(NMB) Hill County Sheriff Jamie Ross and the Hill County Sheriff’s office are receiving reports of people getting phone calls from the Sheriff’s department phone
number, and someone claiming to be a Deputy with the Sheriff’s Office wanting people to send money. This is a scam. The Hill County Sheriff’s office will never
call to solicit money according to Sheriff Ross. Scams during this time of year seem to pick up. Please remember to never give ot any information to these callers.
