HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Montana author and musician Ednor Therriault will be touring the Hi-Line next week as part of his “Montana Conversations” series, which is supported by the non-profit Humanities Montana.
During the shows, Therriault says he will narrate a slideshow and share his experiences from around the state, as the Missoula resident says he’s logged more than 20,000 miles on Montana’s roads.
“No two shows are ever the same and there are things, I have specific things about Glasgow and stories from Malta and Havre that I will kind of lean on depending on where I’m giving the presentation.”
Therriault will perform some original songs as his musical alter-ego Bob Wire.
“When I do something under the guise of Bob Wire, it’s a little bit more cartoonish, maybe, for lack of a better word. But the songs, I take my work and songs seriously, but I try not to take myself too seriously. So I have fun with it and have a little fun with Montana. My affection for the state is pretty obvious in the work. So when I poke a little fun at places here and there it’s done in good humor.”
Terriault will be performing at the Malta High School Auditorium on Tuesday, the Valley County Pioneer Museum in Glasgow on Wednesday, and the Montana Actors Theatre on the MSU-Northern campus on Thursday. All shows are free of charge and begin at 7 PM and will end with a question and answer session.
The show in Havre is co-sponsored by the Hi-Line Arts Council, while the show in Malta is co-sponsored by the Phillips County Library.
