Getting a head start on transferring farm or ranch ownership to different parts of the family can potentially save a lot of time and hassle later down the line. Jodi Koterba, Education Director of the Montana Farmers Union dives more into the specifics as part of their upcoming Succession Planning Institute in Glasgow.
“So, Succession Planning is actually writing down a plan for how you’re going to transfer your farm, ranch, business, land, management, all that kind of stuff from the current generation to the next generation. Or what’s going to happen to it when you are no longer able to work.”
