(Montana) The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has accepted Montana’s Digital Equity plan.
The Digital Equity Act is a federal initiative, to the tune of 2.75 billion dollars, with the stated goal of addressing digital inequity, helping those that may not have access to computer, Internet, smart phones, and other methods of interacting with what is being called a “digital economy”
Using just over 600 thousand dollars from the State Digital Equity Planning Grant Program, the NITA says Montana created a plan aimed at addressing disparities in digital access, skills and affordability across the state.
