(Bozeman) Student clinicians in University of Montana Interprofessional Education will host the third annual Concussion Baseline Screening Clinic on March 28th.
Concussions are common among college-age students, with one in every 75 college students experiencing a concussion that often goes undiagnosed. The clinic will screen UM students to provide them with baseline information and prevention education.
UM says baseline screening helps UM students learn about their current performance in areas often impacted by concussions such as short-term memory and balance. The screenings also teach students about how to identify concussion symptoms if they get one in the future, and learn how to prevent them from happening in the first place.
