(Havre) – The Havre City Council met in regular session on Monday Night at City Hall.
The council approved the Heritage SID 434 Notice of Award to Lake Excavation in Havre, The Council Confirmed Mayor Wade Bitz’s appointments to the Tax Increment Financing District Board of Joe Ross and Cori Winsor to four-year terms, Will Devries and Dustin Kinsella to three-year terms, and Trina Crawford to a two-year term.
Next the council approved the recommendation of the Park and Recreation Committee to charge $50 for a three-hour max for rental of the splash pad for birthday parties and special events.
At the End of the Meeting, Council President Chris Partin announced the Ward One Councilwoman Bonita Bernhardt has officially resigned her seat. Bernhardt resigned because she has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer and will be doing chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant and will not be able to fulfill her duties as a councilwoman.
Police Chief Gabe Matosich announced that National Night Out will be taking place on Tuesday August 25th on the MSU-Northern Campus. The next meeting of the Havre City Council will be on Monday August 17th, 7pm at City Hall.
